The ABRS+ Progressive Rider Tests A–E provide a gentle, structured introduction to riding and horse care for young or nervous riders. Covering both mounted riding skills and unmounted stable management, these introductory tests offer achievable steps to build confidence, develop practical skills and recognise progress, without needing to own a horse.
Delivered through ABRS+ member centres, the tests can form part of regular lessons or separate training sessions and can be adapted to suit riders with a disability.
Completed assessment forms must be uploaded with your order. Please make sure the names of candidates are legible of the assessment form – these will be used for the Test Certificate.
Badges can only be requested once a learner has completed both the mounted and unmounted elements at the relevant test level. Certificates and badges will be sent out only after the assessment forms has been verified.
